Description

Baked Brie with Cranberry Sauce is a simple yet delicious appetizer that combines cheese, jam and nuts and is baked in the oven until the cheese melts and gives off a tantalizing aroma, perfect for enjoying with thin crackers or bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese (about 8 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • Crackers, bread, or sliced baguette, for serving

Instructions

Step 1:

  • Preheat the oven Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2:

  • Prepare the Brie Place the Brie wheel on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in a small oven-safe dish.
  • If you prefer, you can remove the top rind of the Brie, but it’s optional.

Step 3:

  • Add cranberry sauce Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the top of the Brie wheel.
  • If desired, drizzle honey over the cranberry sauce for extra sweetness.
  • Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top for added texture and flavor.

Step 4:

  • Bake Place the prepared Brie in the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is soft and gooey, and the cranberry sauce is bubbling.

Step 5:

  • Serve Carefully remove the baked Brie from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve the warm Brie with crackers, bread, or sliced baguette for dipping.

Notes

  • You can customize this recipe by adding your favorite nuts or dried fruits to the cranberry sauce.
  • If you don’t have cranberry sauce, you can use raspberry jam or fig preserves as a delicious alternative.
  • Serve the baked Brie with a sprinkle of fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for an extra touch of flavor.
