- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Pie Crust
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out the pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Crimp the edges as desired.
- Place the pie crust in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.
Step 2: Make the Pumpkin Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
- Add the eggs to the pumpkin mixture and beat until well combined.
- Gradually stir in the evaporated milk until the filling is smooth and uniform.
Step 3: Fill and Bake the Pie
- Remove the pie crust from the refrigerator and pour the pumpkin filling into the crust.
- Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 40 minutes, or until the filling is set and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
- Once cooled, slice the pumpkin pie into equal portions.
- Serve each slice with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
