Ingredients
- 1 lb white fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Fish
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
- Brush both sides of the fish fillets with the marinade.
- Place the fish fillets on the preheated grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Step 2: Warm the Tortillas
- While the fish is grilling, warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds per side, until they are soft and slightly charred.
- Wrap the warm tortillas in aluminum foil to keep them warm until serving.
Step 3: Assemble the Tacos
- Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the grill and flake it into bite-sized pieces with a fork.
- To assemble the tacos, place some shredded cabbage on each tortilla, followed by a portion of the grilled fish.
- Top the fish with sliced avocado, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro.
- Squeeze a lime wedge over each taco for a burst of citrus flavor.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
- Serve the grilled fish tacos immediately, with extra lime wedges on the side.
