Description
A Mango Coconut Smoothie is a creamy, dairy-free drink blending mango chunks, coconut milk, and orange juice. It’s a refreshing and nutritious beverage with tropical flavors, perfect for any time of the day, enjoyed by both kids and adults.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen mango chunks
- 1 cup coconut milk (canned or carton)
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/2 cup ice cubes (optional, for a thicker smoothie)
- Fresh mint leaves or mango slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
- Start by placing 1 cup of mango chunks, 1 cup of coconut milk, and 1/2 cup of orange juice into a high-powered blender.
- Use full-fat coconut milk for a rich, creamy consistency, or opt for light coconut milk for a lower-calorie version.
Step 2: Blend Until Smooth
- Blend the mixture on high speed until it is smooth and creamy, which should take about 1-2 minutes. If needed, pause to scrape down the sides of the blender to ensure all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Taste the smoothie and if you prefer it sweeter, add 1-2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup and blend again until the sweetener is fully mixed in.
Step 3: Adjust the Consistency
- If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes to the blender. Blend on high until the ice is completely crushed and the smoothie reaches your desired consistency.
- If a thinner smoothie is preferred, you can skip this step or add a splash of water or additional orange juice to adjust the thickness.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
- Pour the smoothie into glasses. For an extra touch of freshness and visual appeal, garnish with fresh mint leaves or mango slices.
- Serve the smoothie immediately to enjoy it at its best consistency and flavor.
