Description

Crispy and flavorful on the outside and tender on the inside, these salmon Patties are an easy-to-make, delicious snack to enjoy as an appetizer or main course with a salad.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14.75 oz) salmon, drained
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, for frying

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Mixture

  • In a large mixing bowl, flake the drained salmon with a fork.
  • Add breadcrumbs, chopped onion, parsley, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix until well combined.

Step 2: Shape the Patties

  • Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 3: Cook the Patties

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Carefully place the salmon patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 4: Serve

  • Once cooked, transfer the patties to a serving plate. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad.

Notes

  • Be gentle when forming the patties to prevent them from falling apart during cooking.
  • You can customize the seasoning by adding herbs or spices of your choice.
  • For a crispier exterior, you can coat the patties with extra breadcrumbs before frying.
