Description
Not only do these Spooky Mummy Hot Dogs taste fabulous, but they also exude a festive and joyful vibe that seems to bring the mystery and joy of Halloween into the mix.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (8 count) hot dogs
- 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
- Mustard or ketchup, for decorating
Instructions
Step 1:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
Step 2:
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
- Using a knife, slice each triangle into thin strips, resembling bandages.
Step 3:
- Take a hot dog and wrap it with the prepared crescent roll strips, leaving a small gap near the top to create the “mummy’s face”.
- Continue wrapping until the entire hot dog is covered, slightly overlapping the strips.
- Place the wrapped hot dog onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Repeat with the remaining hot dogs.
Step 4:
- Once all the hot dogs are wrapped, bake them in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
Step 5:
- Remove the mummy hot dogs from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- Using a squeeze bottle or a small spoon, add dots of mustard or ketchup onto each mummy to create eyes.
Step 6:
- Serve the mummy hot dogs warm, with extra mustard or ketchup for dipping if desired.
