Scale
- 2 large apples (preferably Granny Smith or Gala), cored and diced
- 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (low-sodium)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional, based on dietary restrictions)
- Fresh lettuce leaves for serving
Instructions
Step 1
- Prepare all the fresh ingredients.
- Core and dice the apples into bite-sized pieces.
- Cut the grapes in half. Dice the celery into small, even pieces.
- Chop the walnuts if they are not already in small pieces.
Step 2
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, halved grapes, diced celery, and chopped walnuts.
- Toss them gently to mix the ingredients evenly.
Step 3
- In a small bowl, whisk together the plain Greek yogurt, lemon juice, honey, and salt (if using).
- This mixture will serve as the dressing for the salad.
Step 4
- Pour the dressing over the apple mixture and toss gently until all the ingredients are well-coated.
- Be careful not to mash the ingredients while mixing.
- Once everything is evenly combined, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Step 5
- When ready to serve, place fresh lettuce leaves on a serving platter or individual plates.
- Spoon the Waldorf Salad onto the lettuce leaves and garnish with additional walnuts or a few extra grape halves if desired.
